What is Debate Club?
Successful Schools in Action developed this club five years ago with help from the Seattle Debate Foundation, and continues to administer it at four elementary schools. Students learn the fundamentals of Policy Debate while gaining critical thinking and public speaking skills. A cross-school tournament is held at the end of each session.
- *NEW* Coaches are elementary school teachers trained by debate experts.
- Two 12-week sessions are offered this 2009-10 year.
- Tuition is $120 per 12-week session. A limited number of scholarships are available.
- Classes meet once a week after school for one hour.
More information will be sent home following registration.
